The Chamber’s advocacy programming provides business leaders with access to elected officials and the laws, policies, regulations and legislation that are impacting our community. Learn more about our specific advocacy-driven programming below:
- Critical Issues Forum: This quarterly series analyzes the biggest competitive challenges impacting economic growth while encouraging action and accountability. Forums often include a presentation, featured speaker, or a moderated panel of experts from across the region and cover topics grounded in the Chamber’s advocacy priorities: workforce development, transportation and affordable housing.
- Legislative Breakfast Series: This 6-part series is the premier public policy program for the Chamber. With a strong focus on the regions of Minneapolis, Bloomington and the West Metro suburban cities, this series features pre- and post-legislative session breakfast for each region, as well as panelist “fireside” chats featuring members of the MN State Senate and Representatives from the 3rd and 5th districts.
- Bloomington State of the City: Presented by the mayor and city manager of the City of Bloomington, this annual report provides attendees with updates on city activities, economic development initiatives and more. This event is a must attend for those engaged in the future of business in the city of Bloomington.
- Breakfast with the Mayors: At this annual breakfast event held in January, the mayors of both Minneapolis and St. Paul outline priorities for their respective cities and engage in a moderated conversation with our audience. Attendees of this sell-out event network with representatives from some of the region’s largest companies and recognized industry leaders.
