Advocacy Questions
This region must be accessible and affordable in order to attract and retain the best and brightest talent. The Chamber advocates on these key issues to ensure that the MSP region remains competitive nationally:
- Talent & Workforce – Creating a qualified and diverse workforce is necessary to both maintain the competitiveness and strength of the MSP region, but also to stimulate new growth and development. That is why the Chamber engages our regional partners to invest in efforts to not only attract and retain a world class workforce, but also educate the workforce of the future.
- Mobility – The Chamber is leading efforts to invest in a comprehensive, multi-modal transportation system that works for everyone and better connects our businesses and communities. Improving the region’s mass transit options allows for greater opportunities in housing, education and employment, and building out a multi-modal transportation system that provides safe, affordable and accessible mobility options is critical to attracting and retaining a diverse workforce.
- Housing – Housing is fundamental, and affordability a cornerstone of a successful region. That is why the Chamber works with local partners to advance housing policies and initiatives that will create new units and support regional growth.
